American quality at prices below the imports!

One of the greatest.......

problems in churches and schools is not sleeping deacons or students during sermons or lectures as applicable.  It isn't underpaid staff or lack of facilities, although these are real problems.  The BIG problem is vandalism and arson, that more often than not, go hand in hand.  The reason is fairly obvious.  Both churches and schools have things that can be easily pawned (PC's, musical instruments etc.).  In addition, there are people that simply don't like churches and schools.

We said all that to say this.  A device such as the Quick Talk Reporter can be connected to external sensors from smoke detectors or intrusion alarms to notify applicable first responders directly over their 2-way radio system.  There are no delays with third party monitoring services or even delays in processing calls through 911.

The Quick Talk Reporter is a wireless radio transmitter that employs digital voice recording capability to provide automatic voice alerting messaging over most existing radio/repeater systems.   Using such a device for notification to participating public safety agencies is just one of the possible applications for this unique device.  The Quick Talk Reporter can be used for a variety of commercial applications such as monitoring and reporting the failure of HVAC systems, refrigeration equipment, standby power generators, tower lights, water pumps, and the list goes on.  For an example of how the Quick Talk Reporter can be used by a water utility, click here.

This simple and affordable device requires no installation.  Just connect the output of the associated sensors, program the desired voice message, put in a half dozen AA batteries and you are done.  In about a year, you will get a low battery message.  Replace the alkaline batteries and you are ready to go for another year.  If you wish, a low cost AC power supply is optionally available.

Years ago.......

we had a customer in the farm supply business.  He was in a rural area on a road paralleling an Interstate highway.  His business was at the end of the secondary road and easily seen from the Interstate.  His home was on the same road near the entrance to the Interstate.  The problem was that vandals (mostly local good old boys) would come in at night and help themselves while he was asleep.  He needed to know when some came into the store area.  Since there was only one road coming in, he could block their departure while awaiting arrival from law enforcement officers IF he could be alerted on their arrival.

We came up with a solution.  It was both expensive and somewhat unreliable but it served it's purpose for the time.  Too bad we didn't have VS technology.  Now we do!  If you have something or someplace that needs to be monitored for vandalism, your solution could be the Quick Talk Alarm Voice Reporter with a vehicle sensor probe.

The Quick Talk Voice Alarm Reporter Radio speaks for itself, in any language, when you need to know. It will monitor the changes in status of any switch closure or sensor letting you know what you may expect when arriving on the scene. The Quick Talk Reporter radio is like a tireless watchman providing 24-hour protection.

Since the Quick Talk Reporter is completely wireless and battery-operated, it can be installed in a variety of indoor and outdoor locations. In addition, a variety of operating features are user programmable without requiring specialized software, or even a computer. All you need is a standard telephone with pulse dial capability.  We got ours at Dollar General for ten dollars.

These devices are used for a variety of applications.  Utilities use them to monitor pumps for notification when a malfunctioning pump is reported before major damage or overflow occurs.  Radio tower owners use them for notification when a tower light fails or for entry notification when someone enters a remote building.  When connected to refrigeration units, a malfunction can be quickly reported before a major loss of perishables.  One of the more interesting applications is for those who operate remote standby power generators.  With two switch contacts provided in the standard Quick Talk, these devices can be activated when the generator comes on and when it turns off.  Where sensor outputs are available, Quick Talk can tell the owner when fuel is low or there is an overheating condition.  Quick Talk easily pays for itself, and that's without the VS option!

The VS (Vehicle Sensor) option is added to the basic Quick Talk to detect the presence of a vehicle as small as a bicycle.   Models are available for VHF (150-162 MHz) or UHF (450-470) MHz as well as a UHF trunking model that is compatible with the LTR trunking format.  The sensor detects changes in the Earth's magnetic field caused by the presence of ferrous metal in a detection area of up to 24 feet.  An 80' cable is provided to allow the burial of the sensor within 35 feet of slow moving traffic.  A prime example of such an installation would be at a water tank with the sensor mounted near the gate.  The Quick Talk could be mounted inside the building with the cable and sensor buried a few inches underground.  No one would know it was there.  As the vehicle (ATV, Auto, or cycle comes within the 24 foot detection area, an alarm message is immediately broadcast over the users VHF or UHF radio.  Appropriate action can then be taken as desired.  You can learn more about VS technology by clicking here!
